REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN JANAURY 2012!!!!
Registration for S.T.R.I.P.E.S. 2012 opens on Tuesday, January 3 and closes on Friday, July 13. Please review all participant and registration information before registering.
S.T.R.I.P.E.S. 2012 Dates
Session 1: July 23 - 26 (Monday - Thursday)
Session 2: July 30 - August 2 (Monday - Thursday)
Session 3: August 6 - August 9 (Monday - Thursday)
Registration Deadline -- Friday, July 13, 2012
Sessions are limited to 300 participants each and registration is available on a first come, first served basis. When a session reaches its maximum capacity, registration for that session will be closed.
Registration Fee
$275 which includes:
- Room and board for the duration of the program (Monday – Thursday)
- Official S.T.R.I.P.E.S. t-shirt
- S.T.R.I.P.E.S. water bottle, lanyard, and manual
$315 which includes:
- Additional night of housing the Sunday before S.T.R.I.P.E.S. begins, dinner Sunday night, breakfast Monday morning (additional $40.00)
- Room and board for the duration of the program (Monday – Thursday)
- Official S.T.R.I.P.E.S. t-shirt
- S.T.R.I.P.E.S. water bottle, lanyard, and manual
Payment
The S.T.R.I.P.E.S. registration fee and additional night for housing fee (if applicable) will be placed on the student's LSU billing statement. Please allow at least one week for processing before the fee will show up on the billing statement. Students can view their billing statements through their PAWS account.
Fee Waivers
Fee waivers for the cost of the registration ($275) are available for students with financial need. Students interested in being considered for a S.T.R.I.P.E.S. fee waiver must:
- Register for the S.T.R.I.P.E.S. program no later than Saturday, June 30, 2012;
- Have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid on file with LSU.
Students will be notified via email as soon as possible but no later than Friday, July 13, 2012 whether or not they are awarded a fee waiver. Full and half fee waivers are available. Please note that a S.T.R.I.P.E.S. fee waiver can ONLY be used for the registration fee of $275. It will not cover the additional fee for the extra night of housing if needed or any other LSU fees.
Students that apply for the fee waiver will not be assessed the registration fee until after students have been selected for the fee waiver. Any student not selected will have the S.T.R.I.P.E.S. fees placed on their billing statement.
Cancellation Policy
Students wishing to cancel registration in the program must send an email to stripes@lsu.edu with the following information:
- Participant full name
- Participant student ID#
- S.T.R.I.P.E.S. session
- Reason for cancellation
Refunds
Students wishing to receive a full refund must cancel their registration by Saturday, June 30, 2012. Cancellations made from Sunday, July 1 until Saturday, July 21, 2012 will result in a 50% refund of the registration fee. Any cancellations after July 21, 2012 will not receive a refund.
